Coach Michael Voss and forward Jack Martin are among four people at AFL club Carlton to test positive to COVID-19.
Voss, Martin and two un-named staffers in Carlton's football department all tested positive on Friday, the day after the Blues' season-opening win against Richmond.
The quartet will isolate for seven days under AFL protocols and be absent from Carlton's fixture against the Western Bulldogs next Thursday night.
The rest of Carlton's playing squad and football department staff were tested on Friday and returned negative results.
Voss' senior assistant coach, Ashley Hansen, will act as head coach against the Bulldogs.
"Importantly, Michael, Jack and our staff are feeling well, which is the number one priority," Carlton's football manager Simon Lloyd said in a statement on Friday.
"They will now isolate for the required periods of time.
"All had tested negative prior to interacting with the football program.
"However, by today all four had returned a positive result."
Lloyd said the club had enacted its COVID contingency plans.
"The impact of COVID-19 is still clearly a reality that we remain mindful," he said.
"We will make the necessary adjustments, adapt and remain focused on our goal for the next week which is preparing for a strong performance next Thursday night."
Carlton's 25-point win over Richmond at the MCG was Voss' first premiership game as coach of the Blues, with Martin kicking a goal among his 13 disposals for the match.
