Up-and-coming batter Georgia Voll is on the verge of her international debut after being selected to replace injured Australia captain Alyssa Healy.

The Queensland and Sydney Thunder batter has been called up to her first Australian squad ahead of three home ODIs against India.

Australia face India in Brisbane on December 5 and 8 before the series finishes at the WACA Ground on December 11.

Healy is nursing a knee injury, but she has been named to return for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand in Wellington, starting on December 19.

Voll hasn't been named for the series against NZ, but that could change if Healy fails to recover in time.

Tahlia McGrath will captain in Healy's absence with Ashleigh Gardner her deputy.

Healy was ruled out of the remainder of the WBBL campaign earlier this week due to a knee injury.

It continues a frustrating recent run for the 34-year-old, who injured her foot during Australia's doomed T20 World Cup defence in Dubai in October.

Voll has scored 310 runs at an average of 34.4 for Sydney Thunder in the WBBL this season, including stellar knocks of 97 not out and 92.

The 21-year-old is averaging 67 with a strike-rate of 110 in four WNCL appearances for Queensland this season.

Australia's ODI series against India and NZ form part of the ICC Women's Championship, with Australia currently sitting first in the standings.

AUSTRALIA SQUAD FOR ODI SERIES AGAINST INDIA AND NZ:

Alyssa Healy (NZ series only), Darcie Brown, Ashleigh Gardner, Kim Garth, Alana King, Phoebe Litchfield, Tahlia McGrath, Sophie Molineux, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Megan Schutt, Annabel Sutherland, Georgia Voll (India series only), Georgia Wareham.
