Vogue Williams had 'never seen' Spencer so upset until Jamie Laing wedding drama

Vogue Williams has confessed that she had never husband Spencer Matthews so upset until he discovered that he had not been invited to his best friend Jamie Laing's wedding earlier this month.

Made In Chelsea star Jamie, 34, tied the knot with long-term love and co-star Sophie Habboo earlier this month in a low-key ceremony and celebration in London with a handful of their nearest and dearest family and friends - but Spencer and Vogue were sadly nowhere to be seen.

Jamie's best friend Spencer, 34, faced harsh criticism after it emerged that he didn't attend the wedding, with fans accusing him and his wife Vogue, 37, of snubbing the couple's special day.

However, in an unexpected turn of events, Jamie had not invited Spencer to the legal wedding because he thought it would have been a much quieter affair, but has invited both Spencer and Vogue - along with their three children - to his second wedding with Sophie in Spain this summer.

Spencer and Vogue have since had to defend their family holiday in Portugal which took place on the same weekend as Jamie and Sophie's wedding - with former Made In Chelsea star Spencer insisting that he had no idea his best pal was tying the knot the same weekend.

After social media trolls took aim at Spencer for seemingly skipping his best friend's wedding, the podcast star admitted that he was 'heartbroken' to not have been invited to Jamie's wedding, with Jamie later explaining that it was a 'simple mistake'.

The two couples addressed the drama as Jamie and Sophie welcomed Spencer and Vogue onto their latest Nearlyweds podcast, where they publicly cleared the air.

During the honest chat, Vogue admitted that in all her years of knowing Spencer, she had never seen her partner so upset over the mixup and the criticism that came with it.

"He was very upset, I have to be honest, I've never seen him like that," Vogue explained.

"He was genuinely upset over something and then I was getting things coming out, I saw the personalised stuff. And I thought 'Oh s**t you really thought about this."

Following Vogue's heartbreaking confession, Jamie finally explained how he managed to forget to ask the couple to his wedding with Sophie.

"I f****d up. We had our wedding, our civil ceremony in the UK. It was a hectic process. Amongst the hectic-ness of getting people there and things like that, I thought Spencer and Vogue were away," he shared.

Jamie then explained that Sophie asked if Spencer and Vogue were coming to their special day, to which Jamie explained that he failed to send them an invite because he knew they would be in Portugal on their family holiday.

It comes after Vogue revealed she will not be attending Jamie and Sophie's second wedding in Spain next month.

Model Vogue said work commitments mean she won't be able to attend the Made in Chelsea couple's big day.

Speaking on her joint podcast with her husband, Spencer & Vogue, she explained: "I'm raging because I can't actually go to the wedding, and it's not my fault. My manager messed up my schedule and I actually have a show on the day of Jamie's wedding."

Jamie and Spencer have known each other since they were 15 years old and went on to star in the E4 show together.
