Vladimir Putin 'to appoint rocket man’ as tsar of territories annexed from Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to appoint his "rocket man" as the head of a new Russian federal region - including territories to be annexed from Ukraine this week, it is claimed.

The despot's so-called "rocket man", Dmitry Rogozin, 58, was the former head of Roscosmos - the country’s space agency.

In this role, the mad man Rogozin advocated using Satan-2 - or Sarmat - missiles to attack London, Washington and other NATO capitals.

He is now reportedly expected to be appointed as the tsar for the newly occupied territories - at Putin's request.

The rocket man's name floated around the Kremlin today, before the announcement of so-called referendums on joining Russia in several Putin-occupied Ukrainian regions was made.

The polls were dismissed by the West as an illegal sham, with no free voting and the results foregone conclusions.

Yesterday, the UK's Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said: "Sham referendums held at the barrel of a gun cannot be free or fair and we will never recognise their results.

"They follow a clear pattern of violence, intimidation, torture, and forced deportations in the areas of Ukraine Russia has seized."

Despite this, the Russian tyrant is expected to trumpet his claim of "democratic legitimacy", and annex the states of part of the regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia by Friday.

Vedomosti - a Russian-language business daily newspaper published in Moscow - has gone on to suggest a new Crimean federal district would be formed following this, which is to be headed by loyalist Rogozin.

This would include the Crimean peninsula, annexed from Ukraine in 2014, as well as Putin’s latest land grab territories.

However, this is a move that is likely to escalate the war with Ukraine - worsening global tensions with Moscow.

Meanwhile, a celebration concert following this has been organised on Red Square in Moscow for Saturday.

The Russian President is expected to be in attendance.

When Rogozin was fired as the space agency head in July this year, Putin's spokesperson announced that the tycoon would get a new post in a "timely manner".

During his old post, the former deputy premier pioneered Putin’s big beast Sartan-2 hypersonic missile.

The 208-ton, Satan-2 hypersonic missile is capable of obliterating targets at 15,880mph and is "unstoppable", Putin has previously claimed.

In June, Ukraine claimed Rogozin had “lost touch with reality” when he posted satellite pictures and precise map coordinates which could be used in a nuclear strike.

These pinpointed the exact locations of Downing Street, the White House, and NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Earlier, he highlighted a fake report that then UK prime minister Boris Johnson had threatened to deploy Britain’s nuclear missiles without consulting NATO.

Rogozin stated: “Boris, if ‘Sarmat’ is used, none of you will ‘consult with each other’. And there will be no-one to style your hair, Mr. Prime Minister.”

Rogozin was replaced as space chief of Russia's State Space Corporation "Roscosmos" by Yury Borisov, another ex-deputy PM.
