Vivo Z1 Pro India launch today at 12 noon: Live stream, expected price, specs

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo will launch a new smartphone in the Indian market today—the Vivo Z1 Pro. The Vivo Z1 Pro will be the first member of Vivo's Z-series of devices that is touted take on Samsung's M-series. The smartphone will be deeply pitted against the Samsung Galaxy M40, Motorola One Vision and Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.

Specifications

The Vivo Z1 Pro is expected to feature a 6.53-inch full HD display along with punch-hole display cutout for accommodating the front facing camera. The smartphone would be powered Qualcomm's Snapdragon 712 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The smartphone will have a triple rear camera setup comprising a 16MP+8MP+2MP configuration. The front facing camera is expected to have a 32MP sensor.

The smartphone will have a glossy and gradient finish design and a circular fingerprint sensor at the back. It will come without an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Last month, Vivo's Brand Strategy Director Nipun Marya said "The all-new Z series has been designed to empower millennials and fulfil the dynamic needs of the 'Gen Z'."

Flipkart exclusive

Vivo in June announced an exclusive partnership with online marketplace Flipkart for selling its first Z-series smartphone. The Flipkart landing page for the smartphone confirms the specifications of the smartphone mentioned above.

Details on the pricing and availability of all variants in India have not been disclosed.

The smartphone is reported to be the global variant of the Vivo Z5x that was launched in May in China. Going by the Z5x's pricing, we can expect the Vivo Z1 Pro to start at 14,400 and go all the way up to 20,000.
