VISAKHAPATNAM: Devotees expressed displeasure at Simhachalam temple administration over the sale of darshan tickets for the annual festival of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, ‘Chandanotsavam,’ to be held in Vizag city on Tuesday.
Though the district administration informed that the festival darshan tickets would be priced at 300, 500, 1,000 and 1,200, most of the devotees claim that it is very difficult to avail the tickets as they are sold at Simhachalam and the process to get them is very difficult.
Most of the 1,000 darshan tickets were claimed by the officials of the endowment and police departments. Very few common people (devotees) managed to get the 1,000 darshan tickets, said some of the devotees. The temple administration claimed that they have released 2.5 crore worth tickets.
However, most of the darshan tickets have been claimed by VVIPS and VIPS so the common devotees will have to wait for hours for the darshan of the deity on Tuesday, alleged the devotees.
