A new free-roam virtual reality arena is set to open in a Nottinghamshire town. Core VR will be opening in the former Argos Building on The Square, Beeston, later this year, after months of renovations.
The gaming arena will give customers the opportunity to play games and tackle missions with their friends in an 'immersive experience with cutting-edge technology'. In addition to virtual reality games, there will also be dedicated virtual reality escape rooms.
Once open, there will also be a local leader board so that players at the Beeston site can compete with one another and see where they rank. Some of the games that will be offered include intense zombie shooters, Corpus Animatum and Corpus Apocalypse, but new games and experiences will also be introduced.

In a Facebook post, the company stated: "Core VR coming to Beeston soon. Core VR where reality meets virtual reality, come and try one of our multiplayer untethered free roam VR experience or even one of our many Virtual Reality multiplayer Escape Rooms.
"Dare you go it alone or in a team in the ultimate free roam experience, why not come and meet our zombies they are ready waiting for you but be warned they are armed to teeth and they do bite!!! This is one of the most immersive free roam VR experience you can find today with haptic feedback options as well, so you can actually feel when you are being attacked."
The business recently submitted an application has been submitted requesting permission to install new business signage, which will be blue, black and white and feature the Core VR logo.
