A Virginia woman, Gennevieve McGhee, 44, has been arrested and charged in connection with a murder-for-hire plot, as reported by the Henry County Sheriff’s office. The arrest came after McGhee was allegedly captured via audio and video evidence meticulously planning the crime.
According to the sheriff's office, McGhee met with a confidential source at her residence in Ridgeway, Virginia. Unbeknownst to her, the source was acting under law enforcement direction and had a recording device to gather evidence.
During the meeting, McGhee reportedly discussed detailed instructions on payment arrangements and provided guidance on carrying out a robbery and murder. These discussions led to her being charged with criminal solicitation of murder and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Following her arrest, McGhee was taken into custody by deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
The case is now under review by the Henry County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. Officials have indicated that further details on the case are not available at this time.
