Virgin Media has issued a warning to Edinburgh residents who have been experiencing a drop in their broadband internet connection.
According to Down Detector, Edinburgh has been highlighted as a hotspot where most people are reporting issues including outage and problems with the broadband provider on Friday December 2.
Out of everyone who flagged issued to Down Detector, 70 per cent reported issues with the landline and internet connection in the last 24 hours.

Edinburgh customers with a Virgin Media online account have since been issued an update.
One message from the media giant shared with Edinburgh Live warned that the internet connection is expected to be fixed by 3pm on Friday. This comes after the connection dropped around 9am.
In a statement to customers, Virgin Media confirmed there was a broadband issue in the EH7 area said: "Thanks for your patience while we work to fix things as quick as we can.
"We hope to fix this by December 2 at 3.00pm. Our technician is in your area and is working to fix things."
