Virgin Media STILL down: Users furious as they remain unable to access their emails

TUESDAY JUNE 20 UPDATE: Virgin Media users are still complaining that they have no access to emails this morning. The issue, which began late on Sunday night, has blocked thousands from accessing messages and the gremlins still aren't fixed over 24 hours later. Users are clearly furious with one customer called Juliet tweeting: "@virginmedia my email is STILL down, received nothing since Sunday. What on earth is going on? Apart from copy and pasting your stock ‘we are aware’ response, how about some actual answers?!" Another named Lucas fumed: "Email down today again @VirginMedia what's going on, is nobody from @virginMedia going to take responsibility for this recurring problem and give us some answers?" Virgin has confirmed to Mirror Online that they are working on a fix but there's no actual time for things to be running as normal. We'll keep you posted when we hear more.

Virgin Media is down and users are not happy (TWITTER)

ORIGINAL STORY: If you're trying and failing to access your Virgin Media emails this morning you are definitely not alone. The popular Internet Service Provider appears to be having some serious issues with users unable to access their private messages. The irritating gremlins appear to have begun last night and are still ongoing hours later.

Down Detector UK, which monitors outages across Britain, has - at the time of writing - recorded almost 1,000 reports making this a fairly major issue.

Of course, with so many people left unable to access their emails, there's now a flurry of messages appearing on Twitter.

One user called Coluche59 said: "Anyone else having problems with Virgin Media email in the UK? It's been down since just after 23:00 Sunday 18 June, UK time (just over 9 hours) with login failures and failures to find the servers."

Whilst called Janet added: "@virginmedia. No email service - when will this be fixed please??!!!"

Meanwhile, Virgin customer Dave fumed that he has been without access for over 9 hours. "@virginmedia still no email only 9 hours and still no update from you," he tweeted.

The timing of the glitch couldn't be worse with users logging in on a Monday morning to check personal and work emails.

There's currently no word on what is causing the bug or when it will be fixed but Mirror Online will update this article once we hear more.

In response to one user, Virgin Media said on Twitter, "Thank you for reaching out and right now we haven't got a time but we are working on it sorry."

Virgin has now confirmed the issue with the company telling us: “We’re aware of an issue that is affecting our Virgin Media email service for customers. Our teams are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
