Virgin Media has been down for customers across the UK today, leaving many without access to internet, TV and phone services.
Reports of problems began in the early hours of Tuesday morning. So far, there have been nearly 36,000 reports of customers facing issues, according to DownDetector.co.uk. After reports reduced at around 10am, they continued to fall until 4pm, when a second spike occurred on the detection website.
The outage website indicates that areas most affected are Glasgow, with London, Birmingham and Cardiff also heavily impacted.
Households across the UK are mostly dealing with internet outages with 75 percent unable to connect to broadband.
Meanwhile 23 per cent or facing a total blackout of services. A small two per cent of users are experiencing problems with their TV streaming services.
DownDetector is also reporting of issues with providers BT and Sky - though there are far less complaints.
Virgin Media has made a statement through it's Twitter page. It says: "We’re aware of an issue that is affecting broadband services for Virgin Media customers as well as our contact centres. Our teams are currently working to identify and fix the problem as quickly as possible and we apologise to those customers affected."
They said at 11.36am that they has amended the issue, prior to the second spike in outage reports.
Virgin is just one of the major broadband providers that upped its prices for existing customers. Other companies that are now more expensive include BT, Sky and Talk Talk - all increasing their prices by at least 14 per cent.
Many users are having difficulty getting through to its customer service and have taken to social media.
One person tweeted: ""Oh dear. Virgin Media down nationwide? Unable to even access the status checker."
Another wrote: "This is absolutely unacceptable. They keep putting the price up, and yet the service keeps getting worse!"

The outage comes after, consumer Watchdog Which? named Talk Talk was recently named as the UK's worst broadband provider.
