FAQs

Does Virgin Media offer deals for new customers?

Absolutely. In fact, most of Virgin Media's deals tend to be tailored towards new sign-ups, with plenty of support for those switching over to the provider from a competing service. Keep an eye out for the latest deals to save on the usual price of broadband, mobile plans and more.

Can existing Virgin Media customers get deals too?

Although they aren't quite as frequent as the new customer deals, if you're already with Virgin Media, there are still opportunities to save when you change your plans. These tend to be more available when you add additional lines or services - for example, if you previously only paid for broadband, you may still be able to save on the price of adding a mobile to your plan.

Can I get Virgin Media coverage in my area?

Most of the UK is now covered by Virgin Media, whether that's their broadband, 4G & 5G mobile signal, or both. If you aren't sure how good the signal is in your area, you can find out by using the brand's dedicated coverage tracker, which can be found on their website. Simply enter your postcode to be provided with a summary of the signal strength in your neighbourhood.

Can I track my Virgin Media delivery?

Yes, you should have been sent any relevant tracking links in your order confirmation email once you placed your order. Virgin tends to ship products via Yodel, who in turn provide a tracking link via email. You can also track your orders by logging in to your account either through your browser or the dedicated Virgin Media app, then navigating to your orders.

How do I change or cancel my Virgin Media plan?

If you want to manage your Virgin Media plan, whether that's changing to a new plan or cancelling completely, you'll need to get in touch with customer service. You can call 150 from any mobile that's on Virgin Media to get through, and the team will take it from there. Note that the team are keen to keep you with Virgin Media, so if you're thinking of leaving the service, you can occasionally negotiate a better deal on your plans by calling up and letting them know.

How do I contact Virgin Media?

Virgin Media has a dedicated contact page you can use to get in touch with their customer service team. You can choose from a range of options you'd like to talk about to find relevant support articles. You can also sign in to your account online to manage your plans and payments, or do the same through the Virgin Media app.

Hints and Tips

Watch for deals: Like many providers, Virgin Media regularly runs deals on selected plans and purchases. These are usually time-limited, with promotions tending to coincide with big retail events such as Black Friday. We also see a wide range of new sign-up offers, which can save you significant sums on getting started with the provider.

Look for bundle deals: Virgin regularly offer bundle deals on multiple products that are designed to offer a discount versus the price of buying two products or plans separately. For example, you'll commonly see broadband and phone bundles, which work out cheaper than buying one separate plan for each. Bundles can save you as much as 20% on original prices.

Earn cashback on selected purchases: You can also earn cashback on selected purchases through the Virgin Media store. How much you earn in cashback will depend on what you're buying and the specific cashback deal. We've previously seen these as high as 10% of the price of selected devices, which can really stack up on high ticket items such as the latest handsets.

Get additional perks with O2: O2 members can access additional benefits with Virgin Media thanks to Volt 2. These benefits include discounts on new plans and devices, free or discounted devices and accessories with selected purchases, and boosts to your packages and plans such as more data per month or higher top internet speeds.

Refer a friend: You can earn additional cashback rewards by referring friends to virgin media. Start by visiting the dedicated referral page and providing your email address to be sent a unique referral link, then send this link to your friends and family. Whenever they make a purchase through your referral link, both you and your friend will receive cashback rewards worth up to £50 depending on what they've purchased.

How we source voucher codes

At TechRadar, we have a number of tools at our disposal to help us find the latest voucher codes. Our Vouchers team uses connections with big name brands, our affiliate networks, and the world wide web to source the latest & best codes for our pages. Each page is updated multiple times a week with sales info, exclusive codes negotiated by our Commercial team, and a number of ways to save on your next online order.

How we test voucher codes

Every code listed on TechRadar is tested before it’s added to our pages by our Vouchers team. We include a range of offers including student discounts, sale prices, free shipping, & more across a number of categories of products & services. Each code is checked to ensure it is accepted at the checkout, and you won’t find any one-time use or user-specific codes.

The expiry date and any terms & conditions of each code are also displayed on the page, next to or below the ‘Get Code’ button, for added clarity. Click the text that reads ‘Terms & Conditions’ to expand the corresponding area, where you can read more about any requirements your order will need to meet in order for your chosen coupon to be accepted.

What to do if a voucher code doesn’t work

We take the utmost care to verify every code before it’s uploaded, and include as much relevant information as we can find to make using our codes as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes codes expire or are amended before we’re able to refresh our pages, and codes may not work as intended.

Should you experience any issues, it’s always best to start by checking the terms & conditions on the page. Click  “View terms and conditions” and the code area will expand. You’ll see all applicable criteria listed in this area. For example, you may not meet a required minimum spend (i.e. spend £20 or more); you may not have enough times in your basket (e.g. you have only selected 2 products when trying to redeem a 3 for 2 multibuy offer), or your chosen offer may only apply to a certain type of product (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If issues persist once you’ve checked that you’ve met any necessary requirements, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Please provide as much detail about your issue as possible - including which code you used and where you found it - and we’ll be in touch to provide support as soon as we can.

How we make money

All the money TechRadar makes through its voucher pages is earned through a commission-based model. We have deals in place with every retailer that has a voucher page on our site, and every time someone makes a purchase using one of our codes, we earn a percentage of the total basket value back in commission.

Thanks to this model, we can offer all of our codes & discounts completely free of charge. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee to redeem an offer on our site - all you’ll pay is the discounted price of the products or services you’ve chosen to buy.

If you want to find out more about TechRadar’s voucher pages, you can visit our dedicated page on How We Source Voucher Codes and How to Use Them for more information.
