Here is your Liverpool morning digest for Friday, November 4.

Virgil van Dijk breaks silence on what really happened in Liverpool transfer talks

Virgil van Dijk has broken his silence on transfer talks he held with Jurgen Klopp ahead of his move to Liverpool in January 2018.

The Reds originally tried to sign the Dutchman the previous summer but were forced to apologise to Southampton and end their interest in the player after being accused of making an illegal approach for his services. Luis Diaz injury update as Liverpool winger continues recovery in Colombia

Luis Diaz is continuing his recovery from a knee injury in his home country of Colombia at the headquarters of the national team in Barranquilla.

The forward has been out of action since injuring his knee in the 3-2 loss at Arsenal on Sunday, October 9 and won't be back in action for the Reds until after the World Cup.

Diaz 's injury was a huge blow to Jurgen Klopp 's side as the Colombian was one of the best performers for Liverpool so far this season and he is doing all he can to come back as strong as ever.

The 25-year-old has been on holiday back in Colombia as he continues to recover from his knee injury, but most of the recovery process will take place back in Liverpool.
