Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson send Sadio Mane message as Dejan Lovren reacts to Liverpool transfer

A number of Liverpool players have sent a farewell message to Sadio Mane after he was unveiled as a Bayern Munich player on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old leaves Anfield after six years with the club, he initially joined from Southampton in 2016. During his six years on Merseyside, he has been a key figure in Jurgen Klopp 's side and he's won everything he possibly can with the club, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

He joins Bayern on a three-year deal running until 2025 and a number of his Liverpool teammates have wished him well.

Mane himself shared a message on his Instagram: "It is difficult to find the right words for this. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, I am so pleased to be a very small part of this incredible success we had together during the last 6 years.

"You were always there. In good and in bad times. I never will forget this. Thank you again. You never walk alone."

The post prompted responses, including from captain Jordan Henderson took to social media saying: "Good luck my friend! Thanks for everything, we will miss you."

Defender Virgil van Dijk echoed a similar sentiment with a photo of them both: "Wishing you all the best in your next adventure. You will be missed brother. Leaving a BIG Liverpool legend."

Kostas Tsimikas also shared a photo of himself and Mane, saying: "We will miss you brother."

Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren also commented on Mane's post: "Bravo Sadio. Well done for everything."

The Reds will receive an initial £27.5m from Bayern Munich for the transfer and could receive a further £5m in performance and achievement based add-ons.
