Footage of a violent brawl that broke out at Hyde Park ’s Winter Wonderland in front of stunned visitors and shocked children has gone viral.
Horrified visitors at the annual Christmas event in London filmed the aggressive argument which unfolded in front of them on Sunday.
In the footage, two men can be seen gesticulating in front of workers of a crispy chicken stall as young children walk right in front of them.
Disturbingly, one worker then appears to wave a pole at one of the men before his friend jumps in.
The pair can then be seen brawling with the stallholders and raising their arms in the air in frustration at the incident.
A third man seems to try to pull the pair away as a small crowd gathers and as a shocked woman shouts “there are children... there are children everywhere”.
At one point in the clip, one of the angry customers at the stall snatches the pall from the stallholder, and appears to knock down a sign above the counter in rage.
This then prompts the worker to pelt a heavy box at him.
Luckily, security guard arrived at the scene before any more damage was done. They managed to calm down the brawlers and usher them away from the food stall, just as ‘It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ ironically played in the background.
The footage has since been shared on social media, and has been viewed nearly 90,000 times.
Some people have gone on to suggest that the fight broke out over product pricing, with one writing: “I mean I know the prices are ridiculous there, but you're under no obligation to purchase."
Another user remarked: “The timing of the music...”
A similar incident took place at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park in December 2019, whereby the Met Police confirmed that three people were arrested for public order offences.
Winter Wonderland has recently come under fire for its 'ridiculous' prices, with visitors claiming that the event is 'overpriced'.
With a pint costing upwards of £6 and a portion of fish and chips costing £14 per person many families have gone on to slam the event as having “Mental prices!”.
In another video that was shared online, a visitor showed that one hot chocolate costs £7, a hot dog £8, the ice bar costs £16 each, the Ferris wheel £10 each , £15.50 for ice skating and £2 charge for cloakroom use and Churros £9.
One person wrote: “Bloody ridiculous I’d begrudge paying any of that.”
While another said: “You could do a three-day break away abroad."
And a third shared: “Could have gone to Disneyland Paris for that”.
The Mirror has contacted Winter Wonderland for comment.
