'Vintage' 30p Tesco chocolate bar being flogged on eBay for eye-watering £10,000

The weird and wonderful world of eBay has everything you could event want to buy. From collectable toys to items with factory defects, there's something for everyone.

Currently, you can even snap up a chocolate bar that expired in August 2008, if that tickles your fancy. There's one catch though – it's being flogged for £10,000.

It's being sold as a 'vintage' Tesco Value Milk Chocolate bar from 2006 which is to be used "for home baking", and according to the seller, it's "in good condition" with "no tears to packaging".

However, seller 619ozzy, who has 100% positive feedback with 124 items sold, does say there is "some signs of age related wear on the corners, however the chocolate bar is still in one piece".

It's listed for a whopping £10,000 (Ebay)

The chocolate bar comes in the original blue and white Tesco Value packaging, and was originally sold for 30p back in 2006, Daily Star reports.

The seller is also willing to send the 16 year old chocolate bar in the post to the lucky buyer for £4.20, Royal Mail 2nd Class signed for delivery.

Despite the hefty tag, 80% of the sale of the item will actually go towards charity, towards the BR Class 8 Steam Locomotive Trust, which facilitates education and training in relation to steam locomotive 71000 Duke of Gloucester.

It was originally put up for sale on June 5 2021, and although six people have 'watched' it on eBay in the last 24 hours, it seems no one has made the move to purchase it yet.

Among other expensive items currently on the website is water claiming to be from the now-closed Disney World ride Splash Mountain.

If you search "water Splash Mountain" on the website now you'll see hundreds of listings of water claiming to be from the iconic ride at Disney World Florida, which closed on January 23 this year.

One bottle, which had 'Splash Mountain water' hand written on it with a marker pen, went above $10,000. Another zip lock bag with water is being sold for $249.99, (£202.22) or best offer.

Recently, we looked at 12 valuable unused household items you could sell on eBay to earn £1,200 easily.

According to the website, items like bicycles, tablets and video game consoles are the biggest money-makers.
