Vinnie Jones has shared a heartfelt, honest and touching tribute to his late wife on their 26th wedding anniversary.
Tanya Jones died on July 6 last year at the age of 53, after a six-year battle with three forms of cancer.
She had first been diagnosed in 2013.
Vinnie kissed her on the head and whispered, "I love you, I love you" as she slipped away.
Now the footballer-turned-actor has shared a beautiful memory with fans as he penned a tribute post to Tanya - who he affectionately called Tans.
Vinnie posted a throwback to their honeymoon after their 1994 wedding - they also renewed their vows in 2007.
The pair frolic in the pool, Vinnie taking his new wife in his arms as gazing lovingly at her and she smiles back warmly.
"Today is our 26th Anniversary," Vinnie wrote.
"I remember our honeymoon in Juan-Les-Pins; a honeymoon of happiness from two children in our not so torn rags, where do you go to my lovely, I think of you every night in my bed, are there diamonds and pearls still in your hair, I wish I could be buying you a racehorse for christmas and keeping it just for fun for a laugh ahaha, just look into my face little Tans and i'll remember just who you are, and i'll go on and remember you forever, because we always have our beautiful star, deep inside yes we will, I know where you go to my lovely, when im alone in my bed, you know the thoughts that surround me, because you were always the only one that could look inside my head. xxx Vin."
He followed with another snap of the two of them cuddling poolside, captioned: "Juan-Les-Pins 1994."
On the night she died, Vinnie previously told that he'd seen a light above him in the garden of their Los Angeles home, which he believes was Tanya's spirit.
He also reassessed his feelings about an afterlife - saying he used to think it was "a load of BS."
After seeing the light, though, Vinnie now believes.
Tanya was surrounded by Vinnie and five family members when she died, including daughter Kaley, now 33.
Vinnie also has son Aaron, 28, with ex-girlfriend Mylene Elliston.
Both Vinnie and Tanya had undergone treatment for melanoma, but while Vinnie got the all-clear, Tanya didn't.
"She was the light of my life," he previously told, recalling Tanya's courage in her final days.
"I will never be with anyone else."
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, he remembered "beautiful, innocent moments in those last days."
Since sharing the touching post, Vinnie has been met with an outpouring of supportive messages and kind words from fans.
"Heart breaking vin so proud of you xxx," one wrote.
Another commented: "The love you have for your wife is something we should all aspire to."
A third wrote: "Hope your doing ok today pal."
