Villarreal have sent a classy message to Liverpool after their Champions League semi-final tie.
The Reds reached the final of the prestigious competition on Tuesday night, after beating Villarreal 3-2 on the night in their second leg, winning 5-2 on aggregate. Goals from Fabinho, Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane got Liverpool over the line at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Jurgen Klopp has helped guide Liverpool to their third Champions League final within the last five seasons. They will face one of either Real Madrid or Manchester City, who both meet for their semi-final second leg this evening at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Villarreal would have had strong hopes of beating Liverpool to reach their first ever European Cup final. They held a 2-0 lead on the night thanks to goals from Boulaye Dia and Francis Coquelin, which saw the tie 2-2 on aggregate before Liverpool’s second half comeback.
Despite their disappointment, Villarreal have sent a classy message to Liverpool following their match on Tuesday night.
“Villarreal CF would like to congratulate Liverpool for their pass to the final of the Champions League,” read a tweet from the club’s Twitter account.
“Good luck in the future, reds, you are a real team.”
