These are the faces of 11 criminals locked up for crimes linked to Merseyside this week.
Cases included a vile bully who poured boiling water on a woman and sent her chilling video threats.
Judges dealt with a drug addled arsonist, whose reckless actions could have killed women and children.
They heard about a "stupid" drug smuggler, a dozy burglar and a cocaine-fuelled, speeding murderer.
And they had to listen to details of how two twisted paedophiles ruined the lives of innocent children.
Here is an overview of some of the most serious cases to have concluded this week.
Jamie Morgan

Jamie Morgan was caught with an axe up his sleeve and more than 200 wraps of cocaine and heroin when police raided his home.
Officers also found a hammer, balaclava and more than £2,000, separated into different envelopes, at the drug dealer's address.
They also seized the 30-year-old's white Volkswagen Tiguan car, during the drugs bust at his house in Sefton Street, Southport last year.
Morgan admitted charges of possessing an offensive weapon and possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.
He was jailed for six years.
Anthony Gaskell

Murderer Anthony Gaskell sped at 80mph towards oncoming traffic in a "dreadful" cocaine-fuelled police chase.
The killer was jailed for life over the senseless murder of care worker Paul Connolly in Anfield in August 2002.
He plunged a knife into the 28-year-old victim - a total stranger - while his accomplice, Ryan Gildea, held him still.
Gaskell, 23, was found guilty of murder, while Gildea, 20, was convicted of manslaughter, after a trial in April 2003.
Yet Gaskell was released from prison in 2015, after serving less than 13 years behind bars for the brutal attack.
The now 40-year-old was spotted driving a car on false plates in Anfield, at 10.40pm, on February 15 this year.
Gaskell, of Southwood Road, Aigburth, hit a top speed of 90mph during the chase and went through red lights.
It was on West Derby Road he drove at 80mph on the wrong side of the road, before hitting bollards in Everton Brow.
Gaskell, who tested positive for cocaine, admitted dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
He was jailed for 12 months, but may serve longer behind bars as he has been recalled on his licence.
Terrence Merryfield

Terrence Merryfield chatted online about having sex with six-year-old girls - not realising he was talking to undercover police.
The 38-year-old pervert, of Talbot Road, Southport, was also fooled by another covert officer, to whom he sent indecent photos of children, in 2018.
At the time he was subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) imposed in 2016, when he was jailed for eight months for downloading more than 1,000 indecent images.
Merryfield, formerly of Albert Road, Southport, admitted 16 offences including encouraging the commission of child rape and sexual activity, distributing indecent images, and breaching his 10-year SHPO.
Judge David Aubrey, QC, said: "This is a deeply disturbing case and your behaviour over a number of years is again disturbing."
Merryfield was jailed for eight years and deemed "an offender of particular concern", with an extended one year on licence.
This means he will have to serve at least half of the custodial term - four years - behind bars, before he can apply for parole.
He will then only be released before the end of the eight-year sentence if he is no longer considered to be a risk.
Krzysztof Sikora
Krzysztof Sikora deliberately torched a taxi in a petrol station forecourt after a four-day drugs binge.
He put women and children "at extreme risk of injury or death" after setting fire to the car on November 23 last year.
A taxi driver visited the Esso petrol station in Albert Road, Southport, which has a Tesco Express store attached.
Sikora, 32, stole a bottle of engine coolant, emptied it and filled it with petrol, then poured it over the car and set it alight.
The Polish national, of Albany Road, Southport, yelled "this is for murdering the Slovakians" before fleeing the scene.
Thankfully, the forecourt shop manager put out the blaze, which caused £1,000 of damage to the victim's taxi.
Sikora was taken to hospital with burns to his hands, but threw a glass of water at a police officer trying to help him.
He was experiencing a "psychotic episode" as a result of taking amphetamines and was earlier in a car crash in Ormskirk.
Sikora admitted two counts of arson reckless as to whether life was endangered, and assault on an emergency worker.
He was jailed for two and a half years.
Grzeogorz Konopka

Dozy burglar Grzeogorz Konopka was caught by police after leaving his DNA all over people's homes.
He broke into four properties, but inadvertently smeared his blood on a back door, after he smashed a kitchen window.
The 34-year-old then left a discarded cigarette at the top of a staircase, and cans of beer and a bottle of wine at other scenes.
The crook, who carried out the raids in Warrington and Runcorn, was described by detectives as "greedy, but not clever".
Konopka, of Slough, Berkshire, who carried out the raids between 2016 and 2019, was jailed for four and a half years.
Alan Cherry

Perverted grandad Alan Cherry sent a picture of his penis to a person he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
The 62-year-old previously had sex chats with an undercover police officer, who he believed was a girl aged 13, in 2017.
When his home was raided, a sick stash of indecent images - including children as young as three - was discovered.
He was handed a three-year community order, so he could go on a sex offenders treatment programme, in 2018.
But on October 28, 2019, he contacted "Sarah" - a fake profile set up by a "paedophile hunter" group on Kik Messenger.
The decoy said she was 14, but Cherry asked her to perform sex acts, requested naked pics, then sent her the naked photo.
He then spoke to another member of the group - who was using a fake adult profile - and arranged to meet in Liverpool.
The vigilantes detained him in the city centre, until police arrived and he was arrested, on November 22 last year.
Cherry, of no fixed address but formerly of Akenside Court, Bootle, admitted attempted sexual communication with a child.
The ex-window cleaner, previously of Claremont Road, Seaforth, was jailed for eight months.
Anthony Reilly

Vile bully Anthony Reilly poured boiling water on a woman and sent her chilling death threat videos.
The 22-year-old was named as one of Merseyside's 10 most wanted men during 18 months on the run from police.
He made his victim's life "a living nightmare" with threats so sinister, she even wore a wig to disguise herself in public.
Reilly threatened acid and knife attacks, said he would kill the woman's nan and her dog, and sent her a photo of a gun.
The coward, from St Helens, also bit the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, during a "terrifying" ordeal.
But the brave woman kept two chilling video messages he sent, including one where he held an iron and threatened to burn her.
The woman suffered "nasty injuries" including bruising, red marks, and a cut under one eye, and her arm was left scarred.
Reilly, now of Exeter Road, Wallasey, handed himself into police on October 3 last year - some 18 months after the attack.
He admitted harassment putting a person in fear of violence and assault causing actual bodily harm.
Reilly was jailed for three and a half years.
Neil Maddox

Neil Maddox embarked on a "campaign of rape" and sexual abuse against a young boy, which left the victim "conditioned to submit".
The paedophile, 71, molested the child, who he was sometimes asked to look after, from the age of nine onwards.
Maddox, of Warrington Road, Prescot, but originally from from St Helens, was in his 50s when he began sexually assaulting the boy.
After the victim turned 13 he started raping the child, who suffered pain and was left feeling "disgusting".
Judge Gary Woodhall said: "Having been sexually abused by you from such a young age, he sadly believed, wrongly, that what you were doing was the norm."
He added: "Your behaviour towards him meant he was conditioned to submit."
Maddox, who claimed the victim was lying, denied 20 sexual offences, including six counts of rape, and multiple sexual assaults.
He also denied possessing six indecent images of children, found on his laptop when police raided his home in 2017.
Maddox is a convicted sex offender, jailed for six months in 2001 for gross indecency with a boy under 16.
A jury convicted him of all 20 offences following a six-day trial and he was jailed for 15 years.
Ruslanas Fedotovas

Knifeman Ruslanas Fedotovas was stopped by two friends who made a citizen's arrest in Kensington.
Security workers Kyle Kennedy and Alfie Cawley spotted him during the early hours of the morning on February 3 this year.
They had gone out looking for a suspect after an attempted break-in at Alfie’s Everton home, but feared Fedotovas had a blade.
The pair went back out the following night wearing stab vests and spotted him in Gilead Street, during the early hours of February 4.
The two friends handcuffed Fedotovas, pinned him to the floor when they discovered he had a knife, then called police.
Mr Kennedy and Mr Cawley filmed the incident with body cameras and a mobile phone.
Fedotovas, 47, of Kensington, was jailed for 12 months after admitting burglary and possession of a knife.
Thomas Sloan

"Twisted" paedophile Thomas Sloan stole a young girl's innocence then accused her of lying when finally brought to court.
The 65-year-old had denied abusing the victim from the age of 10 - forcing her to give evidence in two distressing trials.
Jurors couldn't reach a verdict against the married man, of Dalry Walk, Southdene, Kirkby, in the first trial last year.
However, a second jury unanimously convicted him of nine sexual offences, after just two and a half hours of deliberation, this week.
The victim's misery was compounded by the fact she first reported the abuse to a teacher in the 1990s, but no complaint was made to police.
Two decades later, the now adult woman watched a crime programme on TV, dealing with the subject of historic child abuse, and rang officers.
Sloan would invite her to lie next to him and touch his penis over his trousers, then also touched her private parts under and over clothing.
The pervert encouraged the girl to perform sex acts on him and once lay on top of her and rubbed his groin against her.
He was found guilty of two counts of gross indecency with a child and seven counts of indecent assault.
Sloan - whose wife has stood by him - was jailed for eight years.
Terry Leach

"Stupid" crook Terry Leach was caught on camera topless and trying to throw drugs into a prison in the afternoon.
The 21-year-old had a near £2,000 stash of ecstasy, cannabis and steroids, along with other items, outside HMP Risley.
But the then 19-year-old's bizarre behaviour soon raised the suspicion of a CCTV operator at the Warrington prison.
Unbelievably, he was already subject to a suspended sentence - for smuggling drugs and a mobile phone into jail.
And his defence lawyer said even Leach accepted he had been "stupid" and it was "obvious" he would be caught.
Leach was sighted outside the prison, at around 1.30pm, on July 1, 2018, when police were called to the scene.
Items recovered included 75 anabolic steroid tablets, cannabis, tobacco, cigarette papers, a mobile phone and a charger.
Police dogs were called and they found a black bag nearby, containing more cannabis, MDMA, another phone and charger.
Leach, of Wednesbury Oak Road, Tipton, admitted possessing ecstasy, cannabis and steroids with intent to supply.
He was jailed for four and a half years.
