Vikings waive former Eagles first-round pick Jalen Reagor

Howie Roseman is the talk of the NFL world because of his recent success, but his most glaring draft mistake has resurfaced as a 53-man roster cut.

Adam Schefter reports that the Vikings are waiving wide receiver Jalen Reagor after failing to find a trade partner before the deadline.

Minnesota acquired Reagor from Philadelphia almost one year last summer, in exchange for a mid to late-round pick.

Reagor was drafted with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, ahead of Minnesota Vikings All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

Roseman’s penchant for drafting Georgia players and selecting guys with pedigree started after this blown opportunity he’s admitted to on multiple occasions.

Reagor had eight catches for 104 yards and one touchdown last season and has played three NFL seasons for the Eagles and Vikings. Overall, Reagor has logged 72 catches for 799 yards, five touchdowns, and 61 punt returns for 488 yards.

That is a four-game stretch for Jefferson, who has logged 324 catches for 4,825 yards and has scored 26 touchdowns.

Jefferson has been selected to 3 Pro Bowls and has won 1 Offensive Player of the Year award.
