The Minnesota Vikings have a myriad of options at their disposal when it comes to the 23rd overall pick. What made the latest mock draft from Josh Edwards of CBS Sports so interesting was he accomplished two of them.
Edwards has the Vikings trading down with the Pittsburgh Steelers at 32nd overall and picking up their third-round pick at 80th overall. In turn, the Vikings selected Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker
The Volunteer’s quarterback is a very divisive prospect due to the nature of the offense he ran. Plus, he is 25 years old and recovering from a torn ACL suffered in November. He llikely won’t play at all during the 2023 season and that is a cause for concern.
With the two third-round picks, Wilson has the Vikings taking South Carolina CB Darius Rush at 80th overall and LSU wide receiver Kayshon Boutte at 87th overall.
