The Minnesota Vikings have found a potential quarterback of the future at 164th overall in selecting BYU quarterback Jaren Hall.
There is a ton to like about Hall. Having started at BYU for two seasons, he has ran a version of Kevin O’Connell’s offense for multiple seasons. He plays on hard mode often and can do a lot of things on the field that should excite Vikings fans.
A member of the All-Forno team, Hall can drop it in a bucket consistently. He might be 25 years old, but he’s younger in a football sense than Hendon Hooker. He served a two year Mormon mission coming out of high school.
I spoke with him at the Senior Bowl where he was playing with a high ankle sprain and the maturity and confidence was outstanding. He can be a future starter in the NFL.
