The Minnesota Vikings’ defense is going to look a lot different next season but how they will look different is still up for debate. One area that they could stand to get better is at edge rusher, especially with the future of both Za’Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter in doubt.
CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson has that issue solved for the Vikings as he has them selecting LSU edge rusher B.J. Ojulari. Here is what Wilson had to say about the LSU product.
“Ojulari, whose brother played at Georgia and plays for the Giants, had a solid campaign for the Tigers, and he has many of the same explosive qualities that made his brother so hard to block for the Bulldogs. Ojulari could end up being better than Azeez, and that’s saying something.”
One thing that makes this selection interesting is the LSU connection within the Vikings organization. Ojulari would signify a full-on switch to the 3-4, as he doesn’t thrive with his hand in the ground.
