Vikings QB Nick Mullens to start on Saturday vs. Bengals

The Minnesota Vikings are making an official change at the quarterback position.

After having Josh Dobbs as the starter over the last four games, the Vikings have named Nick Mullens as the starting quarterback for Saturday afternoon’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Mullens came into the game against the Las Vegas Raiders halfway through the fourth quarter and led the Vikings to the game-winning drive where Greg Joseph hit the game-winning field goal with just 1:57 left in the game.

Mullens will the fourth quarterback to start for the Vikings this season with Kirk Cousins having started the first eight games, Jaren Hall starting the game following the injury to Cousins and Dobbs started the following four. The Vikings will be the second team to start four quarterbacks this season with the Cleveland Browns being the other team.

When this game was on the schedule, it looked like we would be seeing Cousins vs. Joe Burrow but instead, it’s Mullens vs. former Vikings backup Jake Browning.
