The Minnesota Vikings spent time on Wednesday making some roster moves to get the roster ready for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
With multiple players set to hit injured reserve, the Vikings made eight roster moves. We broke them all down here.
WR Justin Jefferson
The Vikings did the expected and placed Jefferson on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. He will be eligible to return in week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.
QB Nick Mullens
Mullens also hit injured reserve on Wednesday with a back injury. He missed week five with the injury and will be eligible to return in week nine against the Atlanta Falcons.
RB Kene Nwangwu
The Vikings designated Nwangwu to return from injured reserve. He has been out for two months with a back injury.
WR N'Keal Harry
The Vikings signed Harry to the active roster. He was elevated each of the last two games and played just a single offensive snap.
WR Trishton Jackson
The Vikings also signed Jackson to the active roster off the practice squad. He was elevated for the week three game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
QB Sean Mannion
To provide extra quarterback depth, the Vikings added Mannion to the practice squad. Mannion spent the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons with the Vikings before being released in final cuts in 2022.
WR Dan Chisena
Needing more wide receiver and special teams depth, the Vikings brought back Chisena to the practice squad, who spent time with the Vikings in 2020, 2021 and 2022 playing 27 games for the club.
TE Troy Fumagalli
The tight end room also got stronger by adding Fumagalli to the practice squad. A fifth round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2018, Fumagalli also spent time with the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers.
