Vikings lose tackle Brian O’Neill before halftime vs. Raiders

The injury bug has hit the Minnesota Vikings hard this season, and the hits keep coming in the first half against the Las Vegas Raiders. Just minutes after losing Justin Jefferson to a chest injury, the Vikings lost right tackle Brian O’Neill just before halftime to an apparent leg injury.

O’Neill was injured on a pass play with just over a minute to play in the second quarter. Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby was lined up across from O’Neill on the play and rushed aggressively. O’Neill attempted to anchor against the rush, and appeared to have his leg give out on him.

After being down on the field for some time, O’Neill was helped to the sidelines and taken to the locker room for further evaluation. With Minnesota already without right guard Ed Ingraham, the second half is going to be a challenge on the right side of the offensive line against one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.
