Vikings head performance dietician featured in NFL’s Next Woman Up series

In the National Football League, women are incredibly vital in helping franchises achieve success. On the league’s website, they have a series focusing on those women and the head performance dietician of the Minnesota Vikings Remi Famodu-Jackson was the latest to be featured.

Famodu-Jackson is in charge of the player’s nutrition and helps them maintain their weight throughout the season. One of the main ways Famodu-Jackson impacts the players is at their fueling station.

“My fueling stations — I love my fueling station — is really in the center of the action when it comes to the players’ locker room, our indoor practice facility, our weight room and athletic training room. It’s a water hub for players to stop by and ask questions about nutrition and their fueling.”

Famodu-Jackson’s team got an A- on the NFLPA team report cards and there was a major excitement around the group, while she has a strong desire to be better.

“Chef Paige Sullivan was the one who told me at first, and then maybe a minute later, my supervisor, Tyler Williams, executive director of player health and performance, texted me. At first, I didn’t know what was really going on. The shock factor set in, and then I was very excited. It was an A-, so I’m always going to look to get better, but of course, no hard feelings with that.”
