The Arizona Cardinals did not make the postseason, so their fans get to watch the playoffs with no true rooting interest. However, there are some Cardinals-related reasons to watch because every team left in the postseason has soon-to-be free agents and some could end up offseason targets for Arizona.
The Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams play the final of three playoff games on Sunday.
Below are some players on Minnesota’s roster scheduled to be free agents who could be potential targets for some of the Cardinals’ offseason needs.
Potentials Cardinals free agent targets on Vikings
EDGE Patrick Jones
Jones just might hit the open market with Minnesota already having Jonathan Greenard, Andrew Van Ginkel and Dallas Turner. He had seven sacks this season. The Cardinals could use sack production from the edge.
CB Byron Murphy
The Cardinals probably will not spend big on a cornerback this offseason but Murphy, a former Cardinals draft pick, is coming off his best season with six interceptions and making the Pro Bowl for the first time.
