Minnesota Vikings coordinator Brian Flores has been in the news this week for comments made by his former quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. The comments were regarding the former Heisman Trophy winner stating that his time being a player for Flores wasn’t the best time of his football journey.
On Tuesday, Brian Flores responded to the comments and gave a rather candid response to his former quarterback’s harsh but honest feelings.
“Look I’m human. That hit me in a way that I wouldn’t say was positive. I’ve got to use that and say how can I grow from that? How can I be better?”
Flores also mentioned that he is “genuinely happy” for Tagovailoa following the success and extension he reached with the team this offseason. Flores was also flanked by current players Harrison Phillips and Joshua Metellus, who offered their support for him.
Andrew Van Ginkel also voiced his support for the former Dolphins head coach.
