The Minnesota Vikings need to bring in talent across the board and The Athletic’s Dane Brugler did just that in his seven-round mock draft.
Brugler is one of the best in the business when it comes to analyzing the draft and his seven-round mock draft is something to pay attention to.
In this draft, he has the Vikings taking:
- Cornerback
- Wide receiver
- Linebacker
- Quarterback
- Defensive tackle
Check out his picks below.
23. Maryland CB Deonte Banks
Brugler was the first analyst to include Banks in a mock draft for the Vikings and he hasn’t waivered.
The Vikings are expecting big things from second-year corners Andrew Booth and Akayleb Evans, but they still might address the position again in the first round. Banks has the size and movement skills to match up with any kind of receiver on the outside.
87. Houston WR Nathaniel "Tank" Dell
Dell is a fascinating prospect. He is an explosive route running technician, but he is very small at 5082 and 163 lbs.
At 5-8, 165, Dell is built like my son’s toy tank, but good luck to any defender trying to get his hands on him and stay connected in coverage. Dell would be an immediate part of the Vikings’ receiving and return rotations, and he’d help keep attention away from Justin Jefferson.
119. Alabama LB Henry To'oTo'o
A transfer from Tennesssee, To’oTo’o went to Alabama and excelled under Nick Saban. He isn’t the most athletic linebacker, but would be good against the run next to Brian Asamoah.
158. Stanford QB Tanner McKee
The Vikings should get a quarterback in this draft. Even if they strike out with a developmental guy like McKee, they could realistically have a backup for the next four years.
211. Alabama DT D.J. Dale
Defensive line isn’t a major strength for the Vikings. They have decent enough players, but nobody really moves the needle. Dale would provide versatility and depth with potential to grow into more.
