Best case scenario
Booth shows why he was being mocked in the top-15 of the 2022 NFL draft before the process. He fell to the second-round due to a sports hernia surgery he suffered early on in his career at Clemson and had it repaired before the draft. A great athlete with elite click-and-close ability, Booth is primed for success in 2023 under Brian Flores.
Worst case scenario
Injuries continue to haunt Booth. Not only did Booth suffer a sports hernia injury in college, he also tore his patella tendon. That compounded in his rookie season when he tore his meniscus which kept him out for most of year. Nobody has questioned Booth’s talent, but there are a lot of questions about his availability.
What to expect in 2023
Booth is going to be given every opportunity to earn a starting job in 2023. The Vikings traded down from 12 to 32 and essentially got both Lewis Cine and Booth. They want him to be successful and he will be afforded every opportunity to do so. The likely scenario is Booth is in a rotation with Akayleb Evans and Mekhi Blackmon in some capacity. It will be a disappointment if he falls behind both of those.
