Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow's latest episode saw classic quiz show, Bullseye, remade in 2022. Despite this, viewers of the Saturday-night programme were less than impressed with the outcome, with many slamming the questions as "too easy". Carr, who returns to host the third series of Epic Gameshow, also came under criticism for failing to match up with former Bullseye host, Jim Bowen.
In the episode, four plucky pairs of ‘Knowers’ and ‘Throwers’ took on the questions and the dart boards for a chance to win big prizes in the Epic Endgame, which included a luxury holiday to Mexico. Welsh couple, Kathy and Scott, were amongst those competing and even made it through to the final round. Viewers on social media, however, were quick to find flaws in the show.
One person said: "What is the point in recreating a classic if you then change the format?" referring to the original Bullseye, which ran for 354 episodes. Another person commented: "It's like watching a kids' programme. Easy questions, embarrassing jokes, pantomime audience and somebody dressed as a bull". Epic Gameshow joins other ITV Saturday night such as Romeo & Duet, which have failed to strike a chord with audiences.

Carr's hosting was not well-received by the public. Someone said of the show's second round: "What do hideously photo-shopped photos of Alan Carr have to do with Bullseye, utter b***s**t".
Comparing Epic Gameshow to the original Bullseye, when the top prize was more often than not a speedboat, one person said: "Christ this is hard work, an original episode of Bullseye would be bringing out the speedboat by now".
Meanwhile, another person dramatically said that former Bullseye host Jim Bowen (who passed away in 2018) would be "turning in his grave".
