Viewers react to 'steamiest' ever Netflix show Fatal Seduction - dubbed 'sinfully sizzling'

Fans are reacting to Netflix's steamy new thriller Fatal Seduction, which sees a married woman have a wild weekend away from her husband. Taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, the new drama is based on the series Dark Desire by Nayura Aragón Herranz and Leticia López Margalli.

The streaming giant describes the South African remake as a raunchy thriller featuring "a married professor" who is "pulled into a passionate affair with a younger man that uncovers a path of tragedy and betrayal from those closest to her". Starring Kgomotso Christopher, Prince Grootboom and Thapelo Mokoena, Fatal Seduction has been released today (July 7), with 14 episodes in series one.

In reaction to series being released, one viewer, Ncobyle, tweeted: "Lol I can already tell just from the poster that it's about a bored housewife who's going to have an affair," but fans say there is so much more to the Netflix offering. Fatal Seduction has "jaw dropping plot twists" intertwined with "plenty of intimacy", which Twitter user Alfonzowords2 has called "sinfully sizzling".

Replying to Netflix's Fatal Seduction teaser trailer, AngelSkippa01 commented: "It's about to go down, can't wait to watch." NaitsuwehNana added: "This one I can't wait for looks steaming hot".

Meanwhile, Flrsi joked: "It's a little sexy/naughty/raunchy so if you're caught watching it don't blame me." MikaeylaChetty put: "Going to need more wine for this." MsFoyin admitted: "Been waiting for this Fatal Seduction series on Netflix. I hope it’s worth it."

On Netflix, for UK users, the show is said to be "coming soon" - meaning it is likely to be released at some point today as the UK premier date is still listed as "July 7, 2023".

Fatal Seduction plot

*Spoiler alert* in the first volume, Nandi, played by Christopher, sets off on a weekend away with her best friend, Brenda. Nandi is encouraged to have an affair after having suspicions her own husband is cheating his new beautiful new assistant, Ameera.

Nandi and her much younger lover have an instant (physical) connection, but soon, she is back to reality and heads home without her best friend. However, she then learns of Brenda's death. Netflix said: "The case may not only have a connection to another murder, but also everyone in Nandi's inner circle."

Talking to GLAMOUR SA about the series, Christopher said she was excited the be involved "in a project of its nature". She added: "I'm always so happy to be in projects that push the envelope and push boundaries, and I thought Fatal Seduction was one of those.

"Seeing the script, and then to see it actually performed, and seeing the whole product, yeah, I'm very happy with it and I'm glad it turned out to be exactly what I thought it would be - a very exciting show, a well-written story, something that pushes the envelope."
