I’m A Celebrity… South Africa viewers were thrilled to see TV presenter Carol Vorderman in the ITV spin-off series, which began airing this week. The 62-year-old former Countdown star is one of the celebrities appearing on the new series which kicked off on Monday, April 24.
During the launch episode, Carol took on the ‘Deadly Drop’, which saw her face a 50m drop over the edge of a South African mountain - read more about that here.
Following the episode viewers flocked to social media to discuss the show’s return and were loving Carol's youthful looks, calling her “ageless”.

One person wrote: "How is Carol Vorderman 62? She looks great!! #ImACeleb." A second then said: "Carol Vorderman looking good for her age #ImACeleb."
A third said: "How good is Carol looking 62 years old looking far far younger and so full of energy.” And a fourth commented: "Wow, Carol Vorderman is ageing like a fine wine #ImACeleb #CarolVorderman."
“Doing I’m A Celebrity changed me a lot,” Carol said of returning for the new series. "It made me realise that I was missing many things I loved and within a short space of time after leaving the camp, I bought a little house in West Wales. I love Wales and I love being out at night. I’ve got a converted van and I live a bit of a hippie life! I go paddle boarding all the time now.
"You get to a point in life where you think everything is all a bonus. You can’t say ‘I will do that in 20 years' time’. It made me realise that you need to live in the now. I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to Ant & Dec when I see them in South Africa and I can’t wait to take part in this new series. I loved everything about I’m A Celebrity.”
