Kickoffs in the NFL are going to look VERY different in 2024, and if the play works this season, it might be a permanent change.
Among the rule changes made for this year is something that came from the XFL: modified kickoff rules in which kickers are rewarded for accuracy and the rest of the players can’t move until the kick is received or it hits the ground in what’s called “the landing zone.”
