Alexa Grasso looked good in her first UFC headliner this past Saturday as she earned an impressive unanimous decision win over Viviane Araujo at UFC Fight Night 212.
The result means Grasso, 29, is on a four-fight winning streak since moving up to the women’s flyweight division in August 2020, making her a prime candidate to challenge champion Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso, who has six years and 10 fights of UFC experience, said afterward that she would prefer one more headlining act before taking a shot at Shevchenko, who’s been nearly untouchable during her title reign.
