After a third straight loss this past August, Luke Rockhold said it was time to hang up the gloves.
Rockhold (16-6 MMA, 6-5 UFC) announced his retirement after a unanimous decision loss in a Fight of the Night proverbial war with Paulo Costa at UFC 278. The fight was Rockhold’s first in more than three years.
But it didn’t take long for the 38-year-old Californian to start posting on social media with hints to a potential return just months after his retirement announcement. And the former UFC and Strikeforce middleweight champion confirmed the UFC has released him from his contract.
That means Rockhold is free to sign with anyone, and there are plenty of options in MMA – as well as outlets like BKFC and professional boxing. So what do we think Rockhold will do next?
Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Farah Hannoun and Danny Segura dive into that conversation with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia.
