This week: Covid rule relaxation, goodbye TM 6, adults only weed and OnlyFans porn 'stain'

Most Covid controls to be lifted

The government is expected to announce the lifting of most Covid-19 controls today,
allowing the virtual full-scale resumption of business and other activities nationwide - including
entertainment.
Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Thursday that he expected the announcement of nationwide restriction-free Covid-19 zones on Friday and also a date for the relaxation to begin.
As for the use of face masks, Anutin said the ministry would not announce a complete end to face mask use.
Officials pointed out that the Public Health Ministry had never arrested anyone who failed to wear a face mask, as it only recommends people wear them.

TM 6 immigration forms shelved

The government will temporarily halt the need for international passengers to fill out TM 6 immigration forms to ease passenger congestion at airports.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said this would reduce the paperwork for foreign visitors as they were already required to fill out many forms upon arrival.
Foreign travellers who enter Thailand by land or sea will still be required to fill out the form.
The move will save around 45 million baht a year in printing costs for an estimated 65 million TM 6 forms.

Cannabis for adults only

The government has issued new rules to limit access to marijuana and hemp to people at least 20 years of age, after the recent decriminalisation of cannabis sparked many complaints.
Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul designated marijuana and hemp as controlled plants. Those under the age of 20 will not be allowed to own and use the plants, unless they have permission from a doctor.
The Ministry of Education plans to make state schools nationwide cannabis-free zones.
The government will also issue rules to limit or prohibit cannabis consumption in public and control cannabis in food.

OnlyFans video porn a 'stain'

Police are threatening severe legal punishment for a couple featured having sex on the OnlyFans social media channel while on holiday in Nakhon Ratchasima.
A local tourism official said the couple's behaviour was deplorable and had tainted the district's reputation.
Three videos, each about four minutes, were released to subscribers, showing the couple enjoying time at a resort in the district and then engaging in sexual intercourse.
The videos were made available on their OnlyFans channel. Police are still trying to determine the identities of the couple in the videos.
