We now have a pretty good answer if you were asking why the Detroit Lions didn’t complain about how Kansas City Chiefs right tackle Jawaan Taylor was constantly false-starting before the snap.
In a video from @JustinPenik, it could have been because … Taylor was tipping practically every play call the Chiefs were running.
If he was in a wide stance without his hand in the dirt and his back foot tapped, it was a pass. If he was in a three-point stance and he was less spread out? He was preparing to block for a run.
Whoops. That’ll be something the Chiefs’ coaching staff will show him on tape before their next game.

Jawaan Taylor was badly tipping off run plays to his side of the ball depending on where he was lining up. Then, he was desperately out of position and worthless in the blocking scheme.
You know it's bad when the announcing team calls out his illegal stance and early getoffs pic.twitter.com/7RHvgLIRqG— Neutral Zone Sports™ (@NeutralZnSports) September 8, 2023
Jawaan Taylor is tipping plays the way a pitcher would tip a pitch. Watch what he does with his back foot pre-snap and you'll be able to predict pass/run with insane accuracy.
