Uphold sanctions against Russia, protesters urge
Protesters called on Canada to "be brave like Ukraine" and uphold economic sanctions against Russia from the lawn of Parliament Hill. Canada agreed earlier this month to issue an exemption to the economic sanctions issued against Russia in response to the invasion of Ukraine.

Police say video shows killers waited for Ripudaman Singh Malik
Police say a vehicle with multiple people inside was waiting for Ripudaman Singh Malik hours before he was killed in a parking lot in Surrey, B.C. Malik was one of the two men acquitted in the 1985 Air India terrorist bombings that killed 331 people. His son, Jaspreet Singh Malik, does not believe his dad's murder and results of the trial are related and he trusts the RCMP to solve this crime.

Concert of ships' horns blasts through St. John's, N.L.
Blasts from ships' horns and the saxophones of accompanying band Ouroboros erupted at the St. John's, N.L. harbour today as part of the city's Sound Symposium festival. The harbour symphony is written for and performed on ships' horns, and there's one scheduled every day at lunchtime up to July 24.
