Video of young Dusan Vlahovic goes viral as Arsenal miss out on £62.8m transfer to Juventus

Dusan Vlahovic has been the name on most people's lips during the January transfer window.

The Fiorentina striker has taken Serie A by storm this season, scoring 17 goals in 21 appearances, notching two assists too. That gives the big frontman a ratio of a goal every 109 minutes, or 0.82 goals per game.

That is why Arsenal have been so interested in signing him. The Gunners have struggled for goals this term, scoring just 33 in the Premier League and have seen more red cards than they have scored goals in the month of January.

Question marks remain over the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who looks set to leave the club, either this month or in the summer, while Alexandre Lacazette, whose contract runs out this summer, is also going to be leaving the Emirates Stadium soon.

However, Mikel Arteta is set to miss out on completing a big-money move for the Serbian striker to fill the void those two will leave, with Vlahovic staying true to his word and favouring a move to Juventus.

The Old Lady have agreed a £62.8million deal with Fiorentina for the forward, who looks set to complete a move to Turin before the transfer window closes.

And as if Vlahovic's impressive return this season was not enough to encourage Arsenal to make a move, an unverified video of the frontman in action as a ten-year-old has gone viral on the internet.

Vlahovic can be seen playing indoor football in Belgrade, firing home goals for fun in a minute-long video uploaded to YouTube.

His quality shone through from such a young age and he has gone on to harness that talent to be on the verge of a move to one of the biggest clubs in the world.

What Arsenal do next in terms of bringing in a new striker remains to be seen.

The club are looking at a number of potential late deals, with the likes of Arthur Melo, Bruno Guimaraes, Gini Wijnaldum and Noussair Mazraoui linked with an Emirates Stadium switch, however, none of those are strikers.

Luka Jovic has been offered to the north London side, but a deal to bring the striker over from his Real Madrid nightmare looks unlikely.

When quizzed on making signings this month, Arteta responded: "I think with the amount of things and the way that we want to evolve the squad, we have to maximise every window in many different ways and we are alert.

"Edu and his team are working very hard because we know exactly what we need to do, and whether we can accomplish that in January or in the summer, is a different question as it is related to other stuff."
