Jiri Prochazka’s career achievement is being recognized back home.
The Czech fighter received a massive welcome back to his country following his dramatic capture of the light heavyweight title at Saturday’s UFC 275 event in Singapore. Prochazka (29-3-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) dethroned Glover Teixeira by submitting him late in the fifth round of their all-out war.
Prochazka, who became the first fighter from Czech Republic to win a UFC belt, returned home to Brno on Monday. Below you can watch how the 29-year-old was welcomed by what appears to be thousands of people (via Twitter):

With the victory on Saturday, Prochazka extended his winning streak to 13 in a row. Prochazka hasn’t tasted defeat since 2016 when he was knocked out by former Strikeforce champion Muhammed Lawal.
