IRVING, Texas – Jake Paul is three days out from what will likely be the most-watched bout of his 12-fight boxing career.
Looking at him, however, you might not be able to tell. The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer was all smiles and charisma Tuesday during an open workout at Toyota Music Factory ahead of Friday’s boxing match vs. Mike Tyson.
Friday’s bout will be eight two-minute rounds, contested at heavyweight – and Paul promised during his open workout session that he’d knock Tyson out somewhere over the course of those 16 minutes.
Paul, is 29 years the younger, which perhaps explains his status as a slight favorite over the all-time boxing great Tyson, who turned 58 in June. Since his delve into pro boxing in 2020, Paul has defeated various celebrities, former MMA fighters, and journeymen boxers. His one hiccup in his career came against rising boxer Tommy Fury in February 2023.
