The “Fast & Furious” franchise returned to theaters earlier this month with another blockbuster.
“Fast X” is the 10th installment of the mega-successful action series (not including “Hobbs & Shaw” if you’re scoring at home), and it came out of the gate in a hurry. The film has made more than $500 million worldwide in its first 10 days and is projected to make in the neighborhood of $850 million in ticket sales before it wraps its theatrical run.
“Fast X” is the first of a planned three-picture finale to the storyline. The first of two finale sequels is expected for 2025.
The “Fast & Furious” franchise is a bit of MMA adjacent, given fast cars and the sport often go hand in hand. Plus, in 2015, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion had a role in “Furious” and in 2013, Gina Carano had a role in “Fast & Furious 6.”
So it’s almost natural that one of the franchise’s biggest stars, Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty, sat down with former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm to talk about the movie.
Check out their conversation and highlights from the film in the video above. “Fast X” is now playing in theaters around the world.
