The Minnesota Vikings left the TCO Performance Center in Eagan for a little training camp road trip at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Friday afternoon.
It was a nice change-up from the primary practice field that gave things more of a gameday feel. Newcomers to the team were taking in the sights and sounds of their new home stadium on NFL Sundays.
As for actual practice, the Vikings pulled back on the intensity a bit on Day 3 and focused more on basic drills and walkthrough-speed reps. So this was nothing like the super-competitive Day 2 practice, which featured a scrappy one-on-one battle between rookie cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. and second-year wideout Ihmir Smith-Marsette.

The practice did feature the announcement that Vikings’ defensive legend Jared Allen would be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor on October 30 at halftime of the Week 8 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
An absolute legend.

It’ll be back to the TCO Performance Center on Saturday for the Vikings’ “Back Together” practice, where fans will be present for the first time at this year’s training camp.
