The Minnesota Vikings capped off another week of work with a jog-through practice on Sunday.
It was the last practice before the team begins their first week of preparation for an actual game in the Week 1 preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on August 14.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, football has finally arrived.
The Vikings had a light helmet and shorts practice, which was highlighted by rookie offensive guard Ed Ingram stepping in for Jesse Davis for work with the first-team unit.
Make no mistake, the team is hopeful Ingram can eventually become that breakout star they can hopefully pass the reins to at some point. But for now, the veteran seems to have an edge on the competition.
Speaking of competition, there’s plenty of it brewing less than a week out from the Vikings’ first preseason game, and it has been on display at every practice.

The Vikings are set to return to the field on Monday for their annual night practice at TCO Stadium. That’s when the pads are likely to come back on, and the intensity will go back up.
