The concerning late-career slide of Antonio Silva continued on Saturday with another gruesome knockout loss.
Silva (19-14), a former UFC title challenger and at a time one of the most feared heavyweights on the planet, suffered his seventh straight loss, this time against Oleg Popov (15-1) at MMA Series 53 in Moscow, Russia.

“Bigfoot” is now 1-9 in his past 10 fights dating back to September 2014. He’s been knocked out in nine of those losses.
The 42-year-old Brazilian was at one point scheduled to headline an Eagle FC event in Florida in January against Tyrone Spong. However, stateside commissions currently appear unwilling to grant him a license to fight given his age and fight history.
