The premise of a World XV team has been long-standing in the rugby world since the 1970s, providing some quite iconic moments.
Whilst it may not be a tradition that has carried into modern times, the 'World XV' has featured on a number of tours stretching back to the golden age of JPR Williams, Willie John McBride and Gareth Edwards, who toured for the team against South Africa in 1977.
A clip of the World XV whilst playing on tour in New Zealand in 1992 has emerged on TikTok this week, and it is a chaotic frenzy of egg-shaped madness.

The side featured an abundance of global rugby stars including John Eales, Jeremy Guscott and Springbok icon Andre Joubert, and was coached by Sir Ian McGeechan.
The World XV played a three match Test series against the All Blacks, with the Kiwis aiming to rebuild following a disappointing 1991 Rugby World Cup.
The mix-and-match visitors were victorious in the opening Test match, winning 28-14. However, they were then defeated 26-15 in the second Test, before being put to the sword in the third in a 54-26 scoreline.
The viral clip in question comes from an incredibly wild passage of play in the second Test. It culminated in Yoshihito Yoshida's 'superman try', which was the icing on the cake of a jaw-dropping feast of rugby.
Bad handling, risky kicking, careless passing, you name it - it happened.
Wallaby Nick Farr-Jones takes the quick tap and away we go. The ball bounces into no man's land before being collected by flanker Apollo Perelini who takes the ball into contact.
It's recycled quickly and Joubert sticks a neat grubber into the path of Yoshida, all of it seems so risky and only adds to the chaos. The Japanese winger rips down the wing and flings it back into Joubert before going into touch.
Joubert passes it straight into an All Black player and the possession ping pong begins. It is absolute madness - New Zealand try to clear their lines but lock John Eales somehow manages to keep the ball in play with admirable balance.
After one phase, the ball finds its way across to Guscott, who sticks the ball in the air quick-time before being wiped out by an All Black. What happens next epitomises this rollercoaster passage of play.
All the players are looking to the heavens, Yoshida comes ripping through the middle towards the uprights, and spectacularly catches the ball whilst diving through the air, scoring perfectly under the posts.
Wow.
The TikTok clip has gathered over a quarter of a million views and 23,000 likes in less than one week, and is one of the most popular rugby videos on the platform at the moment.
Given that the TikTok demographic is, in the majority, made up of those aged between 10-19m it is refreshing to see a new audience enjoying an iconic rugby match from years gone by. Viewers were taken aback by the compelling try.
"It’s like watching my u16 games!" said one.
"Wow. Imagine watching that in real life. I would be going nuts." said another.
