The following video is not for the faint of heart.
Dylan Reischman suffered one of the most horrific injuries of recent memory this past Saturday night at Combat Global: Ferreira vs. Morales in Miami.
Reischman (0-1), who was making his professional debut, was defending a takedown from his opponent Jaime Mora in the second round of their featherweight contest. When Mora (2-0) tried to lift him and take him down, Reischman’s leg got caught underneath him, causing a nasty break that had his bone popping out.
It was an unfortunate scene for the 21-year-old.
You can watch the video of the break below, but as previously mentioned, it is a gruesome injury:

As a 3-1 amateur fighter, Reischman was thrilled to make his professional debut after what he described on Instagram as “the best weight cut of his life.”
Reischman’s leg break is the latest such injury in the sport, which has seen a few over the years. In the most recent high-profile example, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman broke his leg at UFC 261 with the first kick he threw against Uriah Hall. Weidman was also in the cage when another unfortunate instance occurred, when UFC Hall of Famer Anderson Silva broke his leg in their title fight rematch at UFC 168.
