An all-time MMA legend will call it a career Saturday – win or lose, we expect.
The stakes will be high for Russian heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko (40-6 MMA, 4-2 BMMA) when he challenges Ryan Bader (30-7 MMA, 8-2 BMMA) for the title in the Bellator 290 main event. The 46-year-old Emelianenko already has said this will be his final fight.
Emelianenko is a decently sized underdog to Bader, who is a -320 favorite. The two already have fought once before, and things were disastrous for “The Last Emperor.” Bader took him out in 35 seconds to win the heavyweight tournament and vacant title a little more than four years ago.
Emelianenko has fought just twice since then and has first-round knockouts of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Timothy Johnson, and a win over Bader would give him a storybook ending to an illustrious career.
But does he have it in him? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Farah Hannoun and Danny Segura dive into the topic with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia.
